The 963 is the car with which Porsche returned to endurance racing after the 919 era. The car, built according to the LMDh regulations, can race in both IMSA and FIA-WEC. The engine is a 4.6-liter 90° twin-turbo V8, which develops 700hp. The ERS, with a power of 68hp, acts on the rear wheels. The transmission is 7-speed sequential. The chassis was built by Multimatic, one of the officially recognized manufacturers for the LMDh class. The 963 made its debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona 2023, and since the first year Porsche has reserved some examples for privateers.
